COASTAL CRIMINAL LAWYERS

About Coastal Criminal Lawyers

Two sides to every story — make sure your side is heard.

When you are facing a criminal charge, a police investigation, a licence suspension or an apprehended violence order, you need more than general information. You need clear advice about where you stand, what happens next and how to prepare.

Coastal Criminal Lawyers is a criminal defence practice serving the NSW Mid North Coast and Northern Rivers. We combine practical knowledge of the criminal justice system with a straightforward, client-focused approach to representation.

Meet Stuart Davis

Stuart Davis, lawyer at Coastal Criminal Lawyers

Stuart Davis was admitted as a solicitor in 2006 while serving with the New South Wales Police Force, during a policing career spanning 25 years. His policing background includes operational policing, investigations, police prosecutions and senior leadership responsibilities. His legal practice has included criminal law, traffic offences, licence appeals and apprehended violence order matters.

That experience provides an understanding of how allegations are investigated, how prosecution cases are prepared and how evidence can be tested. It does not mean that any particular outcome is guaranteed. Every matter is assessed on its own facts.

Our approach

  • Listen first. We take time to understand the circumstances, the charges and what matters most to you.
  • Explain your options. We discuss the process, possible outcomes, relevant risks and decisions in plain English.
  • Prepare thoroughly. We identify the issues in dispute, review the available evidence and prepare appropriate submissions or hearing strategy.
  • Communicate clearly. We explain what work is proposed, the likely stages and the fees involved before formal engagement.

From the mountains to the sea

We assist people with matters before courts in Taree, Forster, Port Macquarie, Macksville, Coffs Harbour, Grafton, Ballina, Byron Bay and Lismore, subject to availability and engagement. Consultations can be arranged to suit the circumstances of the matter.
